Citi

There
is
a

of
the
100K
offer
attached
which
can
be
printed
out
for
proof.
Recently
the
offer
was
sent
out
to
a
few
select
high
flying
American
customers.
As
things
developed
it
turns
out
that
anyone
who
uses
the
link
gets
the
75,000
or
100,000
mile
bonus.
The
offer
links
are
not
targeted.
As
soon
as
you
fill
out
the
online
application,
write
down
the
application
number
you're
given
and
phone
the
number
also

the

to
get
instant
approval
and
confirmation
of
the
75,000
or
100,000
mile
bonus.
CitiBank
Visa
personal
and
business
and
CitiBank
AmEx
personal
card
offers
for
100,000
miles
are:
1st
year
fee
waived,
50K
after
spending
$750
in
the
first
four
months,
and
another
50K
after
spending
$10,000
in
the
first
12
months.
Links
in
the
WiKi.
The
terms
of
the
75,000
mile
Visa
offer
are
that
the
first
year's
annual
fee
is
waived
and
you
must
charge
$1500
on
the
card
within
six
months.
CitiBank
has
instituted
an
"anti-churning"
program
which
the
CSR
confirmed
to
me
is
no
more
than
2
AA
card
applications
in
60
days.
The
T&C
says
the
offer
is
good
until
October
31.
However,
most
people
applying
again
after
the
60
days
are
getting
disapproved
as
prior
members.
Citi
usually
seems
to
in
practice
extend
the
anti-churning
rules
to
many
months.
The
links
are
in
the
WiKi
.
As
you
can
see
from
the
comments
almost
anyone
with
no
credit
problems
[or
multiple
Citi
AA
cards
already]
is
successful
at
getting
the
cards
and
confirming
the
bonus.
Most
people
are
now
getting
two
cards
for
150,000
or
200,000
miles
bonuses.
Remember
a
super-saver
award
anywhere
in
the
US
is
only
25,000
miles.
In
frequent
travel
circles
it
doesn't
get
better
than
this.
AA
mileage
does
expire
in
18
months
if
there
is
no
use
of
the
account
but
there
are
numerous
ways
to
deposit
a
few
miles
or
even
buy
a
few
from
American
to
extend
the
miles
for
additional
18
month
periods.
American
rates
about
in
the
middle
of
airlines
in
availabilty
of
reward
seats
on
flights
and
AA
miles
can
also
be
used
on
numerous
worldwide
and
domestic
partners
of
American.
In
line
with
new
anti-churning
policies
Citibank
says
the
bonus
is
for
first-time

credit
card
customers.
Sometimes
that
matters,
sometimes
not.
Old
Mastercard
AA
cards
don't
seem
to
matter
and
two
applications
in
one
day
don't
seem
to
matter.
Past
that
it's
YMMV
at
best.
Most
people
are
getting
two
cards
both
with
bonuses.
The
CitiBank
AmEx
card
is
a
CitiBank,
not
American
Express,
issued
card.
The
business
card
is
just
another
Citi
AA
card.
All
3
cards
have
the
bonus,
but
you
can
only
get
2.
The
Visa
Signature
is
a
little
harder
to
get
than
the
AmEx
because
it's
minimum
credit
line
is
higher
Only
2
applications
and
promos
in
any
60
days..
A
3rd
application
after
60
days
is
technically
possible
but
extremely
iffy.
Most
people
applying
for
a
3rd
card
get
a
"multiple
applications"
rejection.
The
business
card
division
requires
90
days
between
applications.
The
fee
for
the
card
is
waived
for
the
1st
year
and
you
can
cancel
the
card
[s]
anytime
after
the
miles
post
to
your
AA
account
without
any
penalty.
The
mods
have
added
the
"No
Referrals
Allowed"
and
I
agree
with
them.
Exchanging
personal
information
via
a
blog
with
strangers
is
not
good
practice
and
why
I
did
not
include
any
referral
information
in
the
posting.
This
offer
is
an
enormous
windfall
and
not
worth
risking
over
a
very
few
referral
miles.
Please
do
not
request
or
offer
referrals.
After
getting
your
cards,
set
them
up
on
CitiBank
online
accounts.
THEN
go
to
My
Messages
on
your
account
page
and
send
a
request
that
Citi
confirm
the
bonus
offer
on
your
new
account.
They
will
respond
within
24
hours
with
written
confirmation
of
the
bonus.
Citi
is
pretty
fast
with
crediting
your
American
account
once
your
statement
date
comes
with
the
required
spend
done.
[The
two-part
100K
offer
may
be
a
little
more
troublesome].
The
100K
offer
gives
25K
more
miles
for
$8500
more
spend.
It
may
be
good
if
you
know
you're
going
to
spend
$10K
or
$20K
on
cards
in
a
year
anyway.
The
personal
and
business
Visa
cards
are
best
for
those
worried
about
the
"spend":
Tuition
can
usually
be
paid
by
card.
Most
utilities
will
take
credit
card
payments
from
Visa
in
any
amount
and
when
the
credit
is
done
your
bill
will
revert
to
automatic
debit
if
you
have
that.
I
paid
$1000
on
my
electric
bill
[although
I
had
to
pay
a
$5
credit
card
fee].
Dish
and
cable
etc
will
usually
also
take
AmEx.
For
AmEx
the
easiest
spend
is
often
Costco
which
has
gift
cards
and
often
refunds
AmEx
purchases
in
cash.
